Travel Diary #4: Update

Also dann. Hasta pronto.

EN: Hello lovelies. Que tal? Today I’m presenting you my fourth travel diary. I hope you’re looking forward to find out more about my whole trip here. I’m sorry for having some internet connection problems during the weekend, but my roommates decided to download movies and totally brick the connection though. But no worries, I don’t wanna hang out all day long inside on the world wide web. Too much to experience outside. Too much I wanted to see!

Therefore I went on a excursion with my professor and one group member. Sounds really official, huh? But it was like spending the day in the city with my chicas. It was amazing and totally different compared to exploring Palma on my own. First time (last saturday) I went to Palma on my own, as I told you. I was like a total tourist: sightseeing en masse! And afterwards I went shopping. But this time with Laura and Heike was not tourist like. We met at 9am and walked through the small alleys of Palma. It was incredible. The calmness of the city, the golden sun light (which didn’t let me melt in one second), the people, nearly everything. I didn’t expect that calmness. It reminded me a lot of Andalusien and the typical spanish atmosphere.

We went to two very nice places for coffee. One was a more traditional cafe, where you could buy some nice spanish sweets and great coffee. I really enjoyed it over there. The other one with a mixture between book shop and cafe. It was possible to buy books and drink some coffee or wine, treat yourself with something nice to read and snack. That’s what I would wish myself more in Germany. Maybe a nice idea for opening a shop, right? Vegan bakery and book store!! Definitely a „go“ for me!

Another nice place we went to was a market. You could buy nearly everything over there from sea food, meat and cheese to spices and vegetables! Everything looked like in a museum. So beautiful and perfectly imperfect. I mean look at those tomatoes! They are called „ox hearts“, I think you can guess why!

Plus my most favorite thing to buy in different countries are: spices! I mean, how much easier can it get to show your loved ones at home, how a different country is? Let them taste „spain“. I bought the other day nice flavored salt, pepper and herbs. Plus some olives and typical tapas plates! So they can really look forward to something, when I’m coming back. But another thing I wanted to buy before I leave are : LEMONS! Guess what, they taste so much better over here. Richer, juicier and more like a real lemon. Not so watery and „unyellow“. I wish I could pick them right from the tree with some leaves.
Well, well. So far, so good. To be continued guys. Have a wonderful week start! Hasta pronto.
