Marge Simpson presents „Iconic Dresses“

DE: Man muss es zugeben, ungewohnt ist der Anblick von Marge Simpson in einem veränderten Outfit! Wenn sie nicht ihre markante blaue Turmfrisur hätte, könnte sie glatt als neuer Charakter der Serie durchgehen. Denn normalerweise trägt Frau Simpson immer das Selbe: grünes schulterloses Kleid, Perlenkette, rote Schuhe.

Doch dank Alexandro Palombo glänzt die Comicfigur im neuen Gewandt. Und nicht nur irgendwelche neuen Kleider, na habt ihr sie erkannt? Der Künstler kleidet Marge in Kleider, die bis heute als unvergessen gelten. Sei es als Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, Geri Halliwell oder doch lieber als Audrey Hepburn in „Frühstück bei Tiffany“?

Und wozu das Ganze? „In jeder Frau steckt eine Marge Simpson“, erklärt der Illustrator. „Mit diesem Tribut wollte ich die Magie entfesseln, die in jeder Frau steckt: die Stärke, das Feminine, die Eleganz, die Erotik und die Schönheit. Oft ist es das Kleid, das eine Frau zu einer Ikone macht. Aber in vielen Fällen ist es die Persönlichkeit der Frau, die das Kleid erstrahlen lässt“, so Palombo.

Schöne Idee eigentlich und nett anzusehen, ist sie allemal! Man darf gespannt sein, ob sich die Macher von Marge ein neues Gewandt für sie einfallen lassen. Nur so ab und zu vielleicht, zur Abwechslung!

Übrigens finde ich sind die Simpsons so ein Phänomen, welches mich durchweg seit meiner Kindheit begleitet und man es sowohl damals, als auch heute gucken kann! Auch wenn die älteren Folgen deutlich mehr Schärfe (im Sinne von Doppeldeutigkeit, Sarkasmus und Ironie) besaßen. Aber ich werde ihnen nie müde!

EN: You have to admit, it’s a bit usual to see Marge Simpson in different cloths. You only recognize her directly because of her gigantic blue hair. If she hadn’t this eye catching hair, she might be considered as a new character of the Simpsons! Normally she’s wearing the same outfit in every single episode: green dress, necklace and red shoes.

And why did he does that? He spoke to Vogue and told them: „In every woman is a Marge Simpson. The strengths, the feminine, the elegant, the erotic and the beauty – that’s the magic in every woman. It’s not the dress, which makes the woman to a iconic. It’s the woman with her personality who gives the dress a character.“

Nice idea and good looking aswell! Well, let’s see if the creators of Marge are inspiring by the new dresses of Mrs. Simpson and maybe we’ll see her in a new look one day! Maybe, who knows!

By the way, the Simpsons are a phenomena, which go along with me since I was a little child. I loved it back then and I love it till now. Even if I have to say, that the older episodes are more filled with sarcasm, ironic and ambiguity. I never get bored because of them.
